Ye Are The Stars

November 19th, 2016

"Ye Are the Stars" is one of my proudest paintings. It is an artistic and dream like rendition of the Bahá'í Temple in Santiago, Chile that I am immensly proud of being able to produce.

The temple itself is one of the most beautiful structures I have ever seen. Obvious in its unique design, it changes colors throughout the day like a chammeleon with its environment. When I was in there praying and meditating I felt very protected and unreachable by the world and its ways. Strong, is the best word. It's an empowering building to pray in.

This painting is an imagination of what it felt like to be near the temple. Mystical, confirming, strong, unwavering and effortlessly powerful. Though there is no possibility to see the milky way against the temple (due to light pollution), I am thankful there is now a "galactical" rendition of the temple out that also showcases what my heart felt when standing outside of a dream like building; enriching.
